Ann Beynon - CCYP Chair

On behalf of the CYP Executive Committee welcome to the conference! This year's conferences have a particular focus on research in the field, and we are very pleased to be hosting the launch of the Practice Research Network, PRN. This timely initiative encourages us all to think of ourselves as research practitioners, observing and valuing our work in consultation with our clients, when appropriate.

As the conference programmes have come together, I have been repeatedly impressed by the extent and quality of the therapeutic work with children and young people, which is happening in all parts of the UK. In this period of change and pressure on resources, the quality of our working partnerships with our professional colleagues becomes increasingly important; I hope this conference will create opportunities to initiate and develop contacts that will benefit your practice.
